Comic Elon Gold to perform at TBPAC

Comedian Elon Gold, whose standup routines carry the warning “Some material may not be suitable for gentiles,” will perform his “Half Jewish, Half Very Jewish” show at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center next month.

Gold’s show will be Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the intimate Jaeb Theater.

Gold has appeared on numerous television shows, including three recent performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He also performs regularly at corporate events and comedy clubs across the country, impressing crowds with his impressions and his jokes.

When he was just 19, the Boston Herald hailed Gold as “a comedy star on the rise.” Five years later Comedy Central selected him and three others, including Dave Chappelle, to be profiled in their “Pipeline” series of future comedy stars.

In addition to his comedy routines, Gold is a writer and actor. He co-wrote, produced and starred in the Sony Television pilot, Good as Gold, alongside television icon Mary Tyler Moore. Gold also developed and starred in the NBC series In- Laws with Dennis Farina and starred in the FOX sitcom Stacked opposite Pamela Anderson and Christopher Lloyd. He has also made several guest appearances on Frasier, Las Vegas and a cameo in the Steve Martin movie, Cheaper by the Dozen. He was seen on the judge’s panel on ABC’s The Next Best Thing, using his wit to evaluate, critique and sometimes skewer celebrity impersonators.

Tickets for the Nov. 19 performance start at $29.50 and may be purchased by calling (813) 229.STAR (7827) or online at www. tbpac.org.
