Tampa JCC to host Senior Day in South Tampa

The Tampa Jewish Community Center is expanding its programming for seniors to South Tampa.

The JCC’s Senior Adult Program Department will host a game day at Jewish Center Towers, 3001 DeLeon St. on Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.

The event will include such games as maj jongg, Scrabble, bridge and more. Coffee and dessert will be served.

Sponsoring senior programming in South Tampa is actually a return to the JCC’s roots. The JCC and Federation was located adjacent to Jewish Towers prior to their move in the early 1990s to the current community campus headquarters in North Tampa off Gunn Highway near Veterans Expressway.

Programs for seniors offered at the JCC’s main campus include JeTSetters, Senior Network Day, a Silver Sneakers fitness program and a new computer class.
