Dealing with tantrums subject of next TIKVAH program

Jennifer Rava-Wooten, president/owner of Advanced Behavioral Systems, will speak on “Extinguishing Tantrums” during TIKVAH Talk on Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 7-9 p.m. at the Tampa Jewish Community Center.

The event is presented by the TIKVAH Special Needs Program at Tampa Jewish Family Services.

The presentation can be beneficial for parents of children with and without special needs of any age.

Rava-Wooten will discuss how to identify what triggers a tantrum, pick the correct consequence, and make changes to encourage more acceptable behavior.

TIKVAH Talk is open to the community and a voluntary $5 donation is appreciated. Continuing education credits are available. RSVP is preferred, but not required. Directions and other information are available at: www.tjfs.org or contact Lydia Abrams at lydiaa@tjfs.org.
