Purim: Congregation Beth Am’s first Purim masquerade ball will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27 with a Megillah reading and service at 6 p.m., ballroom dance lessons at 7:30 p.m. and the ball at 8:30 p.m. The ball will include hors d’oeuvres, desserts and nonalcoholic drinks. Chabad Lubavitch of South Tampa

Purim parties: Chabad Lubavitch of South Tampa will start its Purim celebration with a VIP party at AJA in Channelside on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. The lounge will open early exclusively for the party. Participants are encouraged to wear a Venetian mask. DJ Lesage will mix Jewish hip-hop, rock, and jazz music, followed by a reading of the story of Esther. More...

Purim events: Chabad Lubavitch of Tampa Bay will hold three Purim events, beginning with Megillah Merriment on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. featuring a Megillah reading with a multimedia slide show, music and refreshments. A family Israeli Festival will be held on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m., including dancing to Israeli music, arts and crafts, and refreshments. More...
