ALLAN ALBERT, 79, of Tampa, died Feb. 28. Survivors include his wife, Leonie Medart; sons, Michael, Ted, Dan and Jon; stepchildren, Laura, Wendy and Todd; sister, Pinky; brother, Richard; seven grandchildren. RUTH BROK, 89, of Tampa, died Feb. 19. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she moved to Tampa four years ago. She was a graduate of the Guggenheim School of Dental Hygiene and in later years worked for Flemington Outlet Stores. She was one of the founding members of the B’nai Brith House in Reading, PA and was a member of Temple Oheb Sholom in Wyomissing, PA. Survivors include, daughter and sonin law, Cynthia and Eric Land, Tampa; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Jill Brok, Ormond Beach and Richard and Susan Brok, Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Selma Shapiro, Beach Haven, NJ; seven grandchildren. HAROLD K. GLASER, 89, of Tampa, died Feb. 18. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a Purple Heart recipient. He had a pilot’s license and also enjoyed boating and was a Commander of his Power Squadron. Survivors include his son Stephen, daughter, Lois and a granddaughter. (Blount & Curry Funeral Homes)
DAVID ELLIOTT KARLIN, 25, of Tampa, died Feb. 25. Born in Little Rock AK, he was a senior at the University of Central Florida working on his degree in computer programming and mathematics. He was an Eagle Scout. Survivors include his parents, Daphne Lambright and Alvan Karlin; brother, Jason Karlin; grandmother, Rose Karlin. SHELDON KLEIN, 83, of Tampa, died Feb. 25. He owned and operated furniture stores in Tampa for more than 30 years. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Virginia; sons, Mark, Mitchell, Matthew, Morgan and Martin; daughters, Mica Rywant and Melissa Gerhardt; brother, Seymour; sister, Faith Nadler; thirteen grandchildren. DR. ARCHIE SILVER, 93, of Tampa, died Feb. 24. He was born in Hoboken, NJ and moved to Tampa more than 30 years ago from New York. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a psychiatrist in Tampa until his retirement in 2006. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary Louise; son, Dr. Frederick Silver, Mobile, AL; brother, Harold Silver; sister, Lillian Glass. (Segal Funeral Home, Beth David Chapel)
