LINDA D. ASHHEIM, 61, of Tampa, died April 15. She was a member of Congregation Beth Am, vice-president of Beth Am Sisterhood and was a lifetime member of Hadassah. She studied for and celebrated becoming an adult Bat Mitzvah in 2002. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Stephen; daughter, Nicole; and one grandson. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America in Delray Beach or the American Cancer Society in Tampa. (Segal Funeral Home, Beth David Chapel)
LIONEL “LINK” ELOZORY, 81, of Tampa, died April 25. He was a native of Tampa and graduated from Jefferson High School and the University of Florida, where he was a member of Tau Epsilon Phi before entering the U.S. Navy as an officer and seeing active duty during the Korean War. He founded Westshore Glass Corporation in 1954 and served as CEO for over 50 years. He was an active member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Anne Browning Elozory; his children, Ra’anan and Rachel Elozory, Jerusalem, Israel; Todd and Janet Elozory, Thonotosassa; Toby and Bonnie Elozory, Tampa; Amy Elozory Newell and Scott Newell, Nashville, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Gilbert Gonzalez; brother-in-law, Larry Telles; 15 grandchildren. JEROME MELVIN EPSTEIN, 73, of Palm Harbor, died April 15. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and worked as an auditor for a state government office prior to retirement. Survivors include his brother, Kliff Epstein of Lutz. (David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel)
MARVIN GOLDENBERG, 86, of Tampa, died April 24. He was born in Akron, OH and moved here 32 years ago from Richmond, IN. He was the founder of National Auto Parts, National Trux-n-Parts, Trucks & Parts of Tampa and The Old Car Company. A member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek and B’nai Brith, he was involved with S.C.O.R.E and was among the founders of Beth Boruk Temple in Richmond. He was national president of the National Auto and Truck Wreckers Association. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty; sons and daughters-in-law, Lance and Ann Goldenberg, Lex and Susie Goldenberg and Bruce and Eileen Goldenberg; six grandchildren. The family suggests memorials may be made to Congregation Schaarai Zedek.
WILLIAM J. LOEWENTHAL, 73, of Tampa, died April 19. He was a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek, the O.W.L.S and an active volunteer for the Florida Aquarium. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Martha; son and daughter-in-law, William, Jr. and Linda Loewenthal, of San Mateo, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Drs. Barbara and David Podwall, of Great Neck, NY; brother, Richard J. Loewenthal, Jr., of Winnetka, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Charles Benjamin, of Poughkeepsie, NY.
