MORRIS ISRAEL “MURRAY” COHEN,

MORRIS ISRAEL “MURRAY” COHEN, 95, died June 12. He was born in New York City and was a veteran of World War ll. Known for his many years of community service activities he was selected in 2006 to be one of 60 senior citizens in the state of Florida to be part of the Wisdom of the Ages exhibit that traveled throughout the Smithsonian Museum system concluding in Washington, D.C. Both the Broward County Commission and the Florida House of Representative had honored him. Survivors include his daughters and sons-inlaw, Susan and Richard Homan, Marilyn and Michael Spiegel; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials may be made to T.O.P Jewish Foundation. (Beth David Memorial Gardens)
