Sephardic congregation t o open for High Holidays

A new Sephardic congregation, Orh Ha-Chayim HaKadosh, is opening in Tampa in time for the High Holidays.

Coming to the area under the umbrella of Rabbi Lazer Rivkin’s Merkos Chabad Lubavitch of Central Florida, Rabbi Yakov Benaroch will lead the Sephardic congregation. Orh Ha-Chayim HaKodosh will meet at the Clarion Hotel, 2701 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa, for the High Holidays.

Rabbi Benroch is founder of Congregation Lev Tov in Aventura and has been an outreach director of NCSY and Hillel.

Along with the Sephardic services, Rabbi Benaroch and his family will host a special program for children including games and singing.
