JCC resumes teen mitzvah program

The Tampa JCC is now in the second year of its teen mitzvah program — JAM (Jewish Activism and Mitzvah).

Throughout the school year, the JCC has planned six different mitzvah events to be held on Sunday afternoons from 1-4 p.m. All community 8th – 12th graders can join together to do mitzvot for the community.

“This year our goal is to support many different community organizations throughout the Tampa Bay area,” said Pam Cotner, who is coordinating the JAM program. “What a wonderful way for teens to not only give to the community, but also socialize and earn community service hours.”

For more information, email pam.cotner@ jewish tampa.com or call her at 294-9000, ext 4748.

JAM programs are set for Oct. 24, Nov. 21, Jan. 23, Feb. 27, March 27 and April 17.
