EVELYNE WOLF WALBORSKY, 81,
EVELYNE WOLF WALBORSKY, 81, of Tampa, died Aug. 24. She was born in Budapest, Hungary and was raised in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia and Basel, Switzerland before fleeing Nazi-Europe with her family and arriving in America on her 10th birthday. A graduate of Hunter College, she studied at the Sorbonne and University of Michigan before establishing herself as a photographer in New York City. Moving to Tampa in 1970 she eventually opened her own art gallery. Her photographs of nature appeared in a one-woman show at The LeMoyne Gallery of Tallahassee. She was a member of the Tampa Museum of Art, the Florida Orchestra and Straz Center for the Performing Arts. When she turned 80 she participated in a Bat Mitzvah at Congregation Schaarai Zedek. Survivors include her family, Edwin Walborsky, Pensacola; Eric Gabby and Charlotte Walborsky, Bridgewater, NJ; Lisa Walborsky, New York, NY; Irene, Peter and Emily Moss, Bedford, MA.
