Figure skater Max Aaron advances to worlds
NEW YORK — Jewish figure skater Max Aaron will represent the United States at the men’s ice skating world championships March 10-17 after winning the U.S. men’s national championship.
Aaron, 20, was a surprise winner at the event in Omaha, NE after landing two quads in the free skate program, which vaulted him from fourth place to first. He will make his world championships debut on March 10-17 in London, Ontario.
Aaron, a native of Scottsdale, AZ, moved to Colorado Springs to advance his training after suffering a broken back in 2008. His sister, Madeline, also is a figure skater.
