Israeli drug maker to lay off 14,000 workers

JERUSALEM (JTA) – Israelbased Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, one of the largest manufacturers of generic drugs in the world, will lay off 14,000 workers as part of a global restructuring, or 25 percent of its workforce.  Teva made the announcement on Thursday, Dec. 14. David Friedman, US ambassador to Israel, lights menorah at Western Wall

JERUSALEM (JTA) – David Friedman, the U.S. ambassador to Israel, lit the menorah at the Western Wall in Jerusalem for the second night of Hanukkah.
